managers salary- $ 3.75 hr.!!!

I am a manager at a salon. I am also the only employee besides the owner. I work a 41 hour week not including saturday. we have 5 beds in the store. I am on weekly salary of 150.00 that breaks down to about 3.75 an hour. What is the average salary or hrly rate for salon managers? This is so hard for me b/c I live with my b/f who only makes 240.00 weekly. I really need some info. on employee pay! help!!!

I own a tanning salon, am the only worker, and WISH I made that kind of ching. I make NOTHING an hour and work 75hrs/week.

I pay my Tan Techs $7 to $9 depending on experience.....Min wage here is 6.75. I think you have been taken advantage of !!! You could make more as an hourly wage earner at Burger king !!!

I have 2 certifications one is to work in N.C. and the other is with smart tan. I have been in this industry for 4 years. I also drive 35 miles from my home to get to my job. I spend 50.00 a week in gas.

wow! My manager makes $10 techs $7 - $8 depending on experience as well.

She is on salary - if she agreed to it he can pay whatever he wants.
Sam i think it depends on how well the salon does. I am on salary alos but make a good amount more than $150 a week. I also work 50 to 65 hrs a week though. What are your duties. My boss is not in the salon so except for the accounting i do everthing. My computer people make triple or more than you do. My bed cleaners make more than you do. I think it would be better if you went to hourly.

I think it's time for you to shop around, with that much experience IMO you should be making a whole lot more, start calling around, most Salons would love to have you !!! I am in California so it's a little more expensive !!

even when i was on hourly 7.00 an hr. i never got the full amount. no matter how much money i made that week i never never got over 150.00 of it a week. the remaining balance he would just roll it over to the next time and then 150.00 more and that kept happening every time. I love my job but if things dont change im going to haveget another job
