If you had the choice of buying a used 2000-ish Sunvitale bed(with 1000-2000 hrs) or a Dr.Kern Blue Dream 2004 with no hours, which would buy? These beds are within my modest budget. I have 2 20min. beds in a town of 1,000 people and have to charge low rates. If I bought the Sunvitale I would leave the rates the same,if I bought the Blue Dream I would have to charge more, and hope enough would pay,not to mention having to come up with a whole new pricing structure.ANY advice?

As far as I can tell, the 2002 Dr.Kerns had problems with venting?, and the fans had a glitch (igniters) in them, causing them to run hot.The 2004's are supposed to have the been changed.Nice looking bed with the power I need at the right price .The Sunvitale is nice looking, has aromatherapy(does anyone know about this?),has power, and have heard they are built to last-which it would have to be considering it would be used.Is about 3 yrs.old.We currently have a Sunvision and Sunquest bed. Also, don't know if a jump from only 20 min. in area to 10 min. is too much. Thanks for advice!

I'm a little confused.....are you buying for an upgrade or just to replace the beds you currently have? And Rose are you the same person as Sue?????
Anyway....Both beds will be a huge upgrade in apearance and performance over the Sunvision beds. Also what model of Sunvitale is it? The used to have a 400, 500, and 600 all with different lamp options. Th Sunvitale should have built in a/c as well as aromatherapy which are very nice upgrade features. I would pick the Sunvitale hands down but you will want to charge more than what you currently have and the customer will be glad to pay it. |

Sunvitale. The Kerns have many heat problems, acrylics etc...Sunvitale now marketed as Hollywood Sun..look for some newer models, to be introduced..as they bring in a new line of imports into the USA.

Sorry to confuse you,we're new to this! Me and Rose are sisters, and we have a salon together.Sometimes we come here from my house-sometimes from hers.We are learning alot! Anyway,we want to add a bed. This is a big investment for us,and we worry about buying a used bed we haven't seen. Also,if we get a 10 min. bed will that leave out a level that we could have capitalized on? How could we price the two diff. levels?
