I'm with you on this. We haven't opened yet but our phone has been hooked up for about 3 months. The "CC merchant" ssssss, have been calling since day one. I just got a call the other day "left on the answering service" from a lotion disty, big long message and at least an "800" number to call. Do you find that in addition to NOT sending a free sample, you aren't able to reach them in return. Maybe we should get a few # and pass them around the forum for everyone to call on the same day, all within the same hour, give them a "dose of there own medicine"!

Don't remember which one but someone called at 7 pm one night last week. For Pete's sake do they not know anything about the biz. Like I have time to talk at 7pm. I don't even ask for samples anymore. I just tell them that my lotion decisions are made for the year and please not to call again.

An idea for avoiding these call. Create a fictional "lotion buyer" then anyone that calls for that person you know is a telemarketer so you can say.
" that person is not in, can I take a message?" They are the only one that can make purchases...... Quick and simple off the phone, back to doing your work! |

We call we send samples salon owners never try them. We lost it. We haven't had time to try it. We gave it to a customer and they never came back. This is BS. Send a sample is just a polite way to say no. So your going to let one customer decide what your going to carry no wonder the industry is going down the tubes. Like I said we will never stop calling because this is the way we do business. Phone calls = sales. Samples and no phone calls = no sales. Bottom line.

That's about as LEGIT as the 30s flim flam of selling the Golden Gate Bridge to the unknowing. You are praying on the unknowing and that's PATHETIC. Your BONEHEAD response makes it JUST THAT MUCH EASIER to hang up on your STUPID ***. |

It was more like 9 customers THANK YOU. ANd here's another THANK YOU for being such a ****. Now I am MOTIVATED to move forward with project F THE TELEMARKETERS. Misreable? When you lose your job because of your own words you'll be the one miserable PAL. It'll take about 1 hour for you to go from EMPLOYED to UNEMPLOYED.

We already fired our veteren sales staff because they weren't pushy and aggressive enough on the phones you fool. Now they think they are going to get unemployment. Right what ever. You really do give yourself to much credit. 1 hour. Well it's 1:40 lets see if I still have a job @ 2:40 bet I will. HE HE

I can tell you as a salon owner that we WILL NOT carry a lotion unless we are given some to try and have our employees try. If we like it it goes on our shelves. Also understand that some salon owners get a half dozen calls a day about buying the next greatest bestest lotion on the planet. We dont care about BS marketing slogans. It doesnt get my business. If you send us samples and I do not call you back its because WE did not like the lotion. When we get a call that says we dont make sample packs because we are the manufacturer we hang up. I also hope you run your call lists against the DNC database because I know for a fact that our salon # is there yet YOU lotion sellers keep calling. Perhaps I will take the next step and start filing lawsuits for harassment. |
