I know some people put bad/old lotion on ebay to sell. However, for example, designer skin believe was introduced last year, so I think the lotion is not bad. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, price on ebay is so cheap that I can't beat that. What you guys think I should say to customers who buy tanning lotion on ebay?

All I say is that they should be aware that they may be getting lotion that is old and doesnt work well anymore. I wouldnt tell people they cant use salons not bought in my store. Not only is that a little much to be monitoring, but I think customers would be ticked off. A lot of people come from other salons, and have lotions they have used for a long time. When they do run out, they will buy it from you. But no, we cant compete with EBAY. I have a few customers that tell me they get their stuff from EBAY. The rest probably have just never thought about it (thank God!)

Also let them know that while they may be getting a good deal on the lotion, they should be careful about purchasing it because it could be watered down with something, and with those kind of people, God only knows what they may have added to it, or even totally REPLACED the REAL product with.

Contact Designer Skin for reccomendation. Blake@designerskin.com
We were told to confiscate the product & replace it and we would be reimbursed by DS. Then send the product to DS for analysis. We were told that Hair conditioner, hand lotion & Mr. Clean were some of the corrupted ingredients put in the tampered lotions. |

Another thing to be leary of on EBAY is that the lotion may be a great deal, but when you tag on the $6-10 in shipping, it can cost about the same as buying it in the store...and you have to wait for them to ship it to you, etc. It's more worry than it's worth!!!

Tell them that the "black market" can sometimes get their hands on "bad batches" of lotions that were intended to be thrown out (which is the only reason they are able to sell it as cheap as they do). They then try to sell it as "brand new" so you are getting trash when you don't buy it directly from a salon.
