Why? They both get you to where you are going?

Yes they do, but the Lexus costs you more in the long run. BMW's give you a quality ride and a service contract that is included. Nothing to repair or replace, except the tires, for 4 years. Lexus will cost you $300-$800 per service. Hundai will just fall apart in the first year.

I'm confused...Are all 3 the same color?
They all have their own benefits and deficiencies in the Time-Space Continuium!
Why are we comparing vehicles to tanning beds?
I have already raised my prices, gotten rid of several low-end packages...Now we'll see what the competition does!

Just changed our unlimited package to a membership package, week or month fee and the the surcharge for each visit. I am hoping most will be ok with it but the ones who tan every day on their packages... we should be able to afford to lose.

Membership package? What does it include? You have a surcharge for each visit? Explain that...

Customers pay a membership fee for the week or month and pay the surcharge for each time they tan. The average customer will end up paying a little more but I am hoping they see it better for them than a larger increase to compensate for the customers who tan every day on their package. We try educating that smart tanning is done in moderation and they do not need to tan 7 days a week, can't convince them all. Also the clints who usually upgrade it is actually cheaper for them because we lowered the fee that the unlimited packages used to cost and did not raise the upgrade fees. We seen this type of package on this board sometime ago and are giving it a try, the goal is the same or more money with out all the traffic.

My reasoning on a higher price is that the ones who will pay the higher price are the smarter tanners. They dont tan everyday and will do upgrades.
The bottom feeders always take the lowest price and are there everyday, actually costing you more to have as a customer.

In a membership package, they get to come into your salon. Do they have any tanning with that membership or are they charged for every tan? It seems to me that it is cheaper, in the long run, to sell them a tanning package.

Can you give me some examples of the membership package?

Old unlimited $10 week $35 month. Most younger, and a few "leatherfaces", customers would come in every day on their package, these are the "bottom feeders' we probably can afford to lose.
The Membership will be $9 week or $30 month ($25 to renew month)+ $1 every time they tan, average customer will pay $12-$13 week, the every dayers would then have to pay $17 week, we recommend they do not tan every day though. The goal is $13 with a lot less foot traffic. My other choice to raise prices was $14 week unlimited but the membership makes it fair and cheaper for the smart tanners who often upgrade, more $ on upgrades.

Ramcat, are you putting in non-sunless beds? I was under the impression you just did sunless.
