FREE Moisturizer

What do you think about offering a free moistuizer with the purchase of an expensive tanning lotion?

Personally, I would take it easy on all the freebies. But you can try it and see where it goes? Offer free sessions instead.

Sounds like a good idea, but what I would do is put a moisturizer in sample cups when they purchase a lotion. That way they can try it and if they like it they will purchase it. Or try sample packets, that way you aren't invested too much money on something that might not give you a return.

We give free packets of moisturizer with purchase of sessions. The cost is inexpensive, and they are getting something FREE.

we put a moisturizer with our lotion bottles as a gwp....it seems to be a step clients will overlook so we also have put labels on our lotion after the sale....and they receive 20% of a moisturizer....

I agree.

I have a table in the lobby area that has a full sized bottle of every Moisturizer we carry..in year one I gave a free trial size packett the everyone that was a NEW client, put it in a bag along with some brochures on the differnt lotions..I did not do this in 2004 & my sales were a little bit lower, so we will do that again this year.

What are your guy's favorite moisture product. I'm stuck on Hemp but haven't tried alot of them. I printed some of the info found in this forum on why to use lotions and moisture products so I think I will make copies for my customers and give them a sample lotion for them to try when I give out the literature. I'm already giving a large bottle of the hemp as an insentive to join our tanners club. I did have a bottle of the hemp sitting on my counter for customers to use but it was stolen twice, right in front of our sign in area. Since then have had to move my lotions to cut down on the theft. Major problem though when one person is running the salon.
Now I check timers before walking back to clean beds so that no one can be in my lobby alone.
