What am I missing. When most of us started this business, we were the Front Desk Person, the Sales Person, the Bed Cleaning person, the Person Who Opened Up in the Morning and the Person Who Closed at Night. We did the ordering, stocking, dusting, mopping and cleaned the toilet. There are some that still do that. 12-14 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you don't want the job, go look for an 8-5.

I talked to the owner. He said -- before I could say anything that he did not think that it would be fair if I worked 7d 12h. He also said that I am too valuable to his sales and drawing clients in that he did not want me to be overworked. He said that he wanted me to go ahead and hire two part-time emp. so I did. I am working 9-5 M-F and weekends off. He said that he is proud of my work, and that I deserve to have the 9-5 and let the part-timers fill in the rest. What a great guy, huh? A boss like that makes you want to come to work for them. Hence the fact that I was drawn from another salon.
