I only do it on someone that is a really good customer and one who spends alot. I do a memo. Anyone else, I usually say that I need to register their upgrade into computer to start that specific bed. (Even though suntouch will let me override it anyways) but they don't know that.

We have our clients pay first.. our staff has also done a great job with keeping their money upfront as well...if a package is 30.00 and they pull out 40.00 we have them give us all of it and they have prepaid money on their account....so everyone can be ahead.....

Don't start that I'll pay you later. You pay me now. I can't go to any store and tell them I'll pay you later. You are actually starting trouble and making enemeys. Some people may know they owe you a balance and may avoid your salon not to pay. You have things to pay for as salon owners. You want the green up front. Or you can purchase a memebership and have a credit card on file.

Nothing in America is free, someone somewhere is paying for it. And we are the ones paying for beds, electricity, products, mortgage, etc. So, if we screw up somewhere and a customer is not happy with something, that is the only time someone gets something for free or if we run a promotion. Otherwise, pay up!

We have Helios which has the InHouse feature. Personally, I hate it. Right now we only allow customers with up to date packages to inhouse an upgrade, and it must be paid on the next visit. They cannot do this to buy packages or products.
The problem is if a new girl is afraid to ask for the money, or forgets, the customer sometimes claims that he never owed anything. You then have to make a decision on whether you will force them to pay and risk losing them (which they are threatening) or just let it go. If I could get rid of the feature completely, I would. I cant go to McDonalds and eat a Big Mac and pay for it a week later. I dont know why tanning customers expect it. |
