I am having the same trouble. My girls must think we only clean during seaon. they don't even feed the Koi or water my plants. I am surprised they clean the beds without me telling them. I have been leaving post-its everyday of "things to do"

The Koi, we already discussed. Send them to me.....

The girls..Look them in the eyes and inform them that this is a business establishment the can be inspected by the Heakth Department at any time. If it is ever inspected and there are written issues because of their sloppy work, they will be forced to eat lunch off of the beds for a week.

I have an "off season deep cleaning list" that I have the girls do once a week. Not that they do it. But I give it to them.

I can't even get them to clean the beds as soon as the client leaves. They wait till they need that bed. I think they think "Slow" they move slow. Yet, they expect raises. Sometimes I want to tell them to go work for McDonalds for a month then come back. I have had employees leave because they feel I expect too much. Then after they work someplace else they come back. I guess the saying goes the grass isn't greener on the other side.

One thing that my girls do well is clean as soon as the client leaves. I told them that I ever dropped by and beds were dirty and they were sitting down....they are fired. No excpetions. I tell them all this the first day. Same for the Bathroom- It must always be perfectly clean and smelling like roses. These things they do well.

Honestly, most don't know what they have. I came in on Saturday and the girl was watching TV with her friend and had 4 beds dirty. She didn't even bother to go clean them when I mention something. Give bonuses when you pop in and they are doing what you ask. Had them a $20 when they do what you ask. Sounds like Pavlov's dogs.... lol..... but I'm sure it will work. I'm going to try it as well.

i am the front desk clerk at a tanning salon in florida. i'm not bragging on myself but i do my job really well. i hate sitting and not doing anything so i always find something to clean or go organize something. i'm really friendly with clients. we have a bed cleaner that comes in mon,wed,fri from 3-7pm. my boss told her that her duties were to clean beds as soon as clients leave, clean mirrors and windows, clean bathroom. that's all. she is not to get on the computer or the register for any reason. lately she has been doing nothing around here. i have been the one to clean up when she leaves because she doesn't do it. she has her boyfriend call and she walks into a room to talk for like 5 minutes. when someone leaves she just sits there and waits til a new client walks in to go clean the bed. she talks about her personal life all the time and even when i'm trying to talk to customers. i don't know what to do. i've told our boss and she keeps giving her second chances. still i'm doing my job AND her job. help please??
