I went from carpet to tile in the rooms. I think the slip factor is way overrated. Don't sell or allow spray lotions and you should be fine.

Our salon is carpeted and in each tanning room we do have plastic mats in front of each piece of equipment.

After a client leaves, we sanitize mat, sanitizer sign, chair and table in each room. Anything that a client can and does potentially touch, we sanitize. We also look for any sock lint left behind.

A few of my girls in the beginning didn't understand. I just told them, would you want to go into a tanning room and put your feet where someone else had their feet or sit in the chair where someone else sat, possibly naked... Yuck They all understand now.

I run a tight ship and am proud of my CLEAN salon.
