If you have to deal with a distributor. Deal with one you know. You can always call them up and arrange to have them come to your salon.

Over the phone lotion sales just make me nuts. I just got one yesterday and I very politely told them that I had a dist. that I see personally and I do not purchase lotions over the phone. Then I hang up.

Well, name a disty like that for San Diego. We were going to stay religous with Salon Support. But even after 3 purchases, I have yet to get a catalog. I ask for promotional items (posters, etc) even willing to pay and can't get those either.

I hated to do it, but we've started looking elsewhere with catalogs we got at Orlando. There's a disty in San Jose where we bought bed cleaner and it was on our doorstep the next day. It's likely we'll go with them. However, if you can point me to someone that'll come to our shop and train, they'll have a customer (me) for life (as long as they follow the 'rules' above).

Do they travel to San Diego for training??

I forgot to mention, the disty that had it next day on our door.....free shipping (and their prices are mostly the same as others who charge). To me, that's incredible service. If you'd like, ramcat, send me some info. I can PM you with ph#, address, so I can see what you offer.
