Ok, everyone has a right to an opinion, but I have a new starpower also and so far it is great. I would say 75% of my customers go in that and they love it. Haven't experienced an ergoline bed yet, so I can't comment on it. So I defend the starpower for now!!!

I make up price sheets on Printmaster and put them in acrylic holders on the grid behind the counter. I have taken them down a couple times to test how it would be without them. It seems like the customers like something to look at to understand the packages, even though I explain it well. Maybe there is just a learning curve for the one working (that is me all the time). I considered getting a white erasable board, but it would take up so much room on the grid. I need the space for other stuff during the spring. Plus, the acrylic sign holders look pretty sharp. It is easy to change pricing or rearrange.

I have my price sheet laminated and on the counter, mine is very simple. I give new people a tour of the salon and then I go over the price sheet with them. I have my specials printed and put on the wall behind the counter. This works well for me.

mine are printed out on full color flyers- change them with the seasons-and include specials..This way after we show them around they take the flyer with them...I figure, if it is in their car, taken in to work, or put on the side of the fridge. Others will see it-and hopefully they like to tan

My husband was talking to me tonight about an article he had read on minimizing tanning packages.
We don't have upgrade beds at our salon. We have our Eft's, 30 days unlimited, 1 visit, week unlimited, visits, then minutes. The visits and minutes expire in a 1 year time frame. I think there's probably something better we could be doing but I don't know what it might be. We have a total of 10 plans displayed which I don't feel is alot but hubby thinks the minutes and the visits aren't turning the money over fast enough. I told him you had to give the customers a choice. |
