Same here. |

We do walk in and appointments are optional for those with the upper level beds. I know there are advantages to saving on labor especially during the busy season by using appointments. Being on a college campus we are in a state of Chaos during the spring and could never keep up with appointments

That is exactly what I have done for over 2 years. It was the second best thing I have ever done. No hassle, the angry stares when they are 10 mintes late and show up and their bed is not available. No stresses staff. If I let you make and appointment because you are a EFT client....99% of the time they are there like white on rice and appreciate the exception. I would not go back to appointments if someone paid me to hire a personal assistant to take them. I also find that most of my new members seems happy about walk in only. They have no problems with it. I was very worried about the switch before I did it. Some clients resisited and Intially, I did lose a few of the most annoying clients I ever had. I was sooo sad. But the came back as 'normal people' a year later after trying other salons. It was not that many to stress over so do it if you are thinking about it...before season. it will make your life a whole lot easier. JMHO |

Same here...sometimes right befor Spring Break it gets a little crazy but it did when we took appointments too...no shows, late people wanting full time, endless phone calls and being booked for the entire week by Monday, call list for canceled appointments. My customers who were with us when we used to take appointments say they like no appointments better because even if they have to wait, they know they will get in within a few minutes. When we are that busy, our closing time is very flexible..like when there are no more tanners. |
