Appointments vs. Walk-ins Only - Page 3

Has anyone thought about offering appointments as a membership perk? We currently do not do appointments and haven't had any complaints. People know that busy seasons means more people. However, I've thought about offering members the option to book an appointment or call ahead to be put on the waitlist.

I still believe that taking appointments is almost a requirement. While tanning isn't transplant surgery, it is a business that needs to be taken seriously. I can't imagine not taking appointments and allowing my clients to "gamble" on when they can tan. For me, if you don't make an appointment, then it's the luck of the draw, but it shouldn't be that way for all clients. IMHO.

This is what I am considering...Since I haven't experienced a "Busy Season" yet, I will have to see how it goes!

I agree to the offering appointments as a membership perk. With the busy season approaching, lineups between 5 and 9 are gettin ridiculous.

I just dont have enough seats.

NEVER EVER do appointments again. Walkins only UNLESS you want to pay $79.99 a month for my big bed and THEN you can have appointments.

I do both. However, I do not hold beds or booths waiting on them. I tell them to be in slightly early. If they are late and I put someone else in the room, Oh Well!!
