So how much $ is 1 point. What is the exchange? Is is a dollar a point?

I have mine priced $1 per credit. A single tan in my base bed is $8 or 8 credits. Next bed is 11 dollars or credits etc. Buy a package of credits and save. Buy the monthly pass and get 8 credits toward any bed so level 2 would cost $3 or 3 credits extra. Buy the package and save. I like it better than sessions and minutes having had both at my other salon. Its just a little more difficult to explain to people but they tend to like the idea once they catch on- some just take longer. I don't have different levels of monthly tanning. Very few asked at my other store although at the new one I've had a few so someone's doing it.

I have a lot of customers who come in 3 times/week and buy single visits, $5 - $12, and when we had our anniversary sale we had buy a 6 pack get 2 more visits free, savings $15 - $36, and a some of the ones who came in during the sale still purchased a single visit and were in 2 days later to purchase another single visit.

I have a sweet older lady who only buys singles (quite a few younger ones too) She comes in every week but doesn't want to get a package - whether she figures she's gonna kick and not get to use them - who knows? Also - a lot of the young girls are obviously spending tip money on the tan and never quite have enough to buy a package. Call me a softie but I started giving 2 minutes free for singles but they expire in 2 weeks. If they come in regularly they eventually get a free tan. They love it! I don't advertise this at all - just pop it on them when they've built up to a freebie. Keeps them coming in.

In general you're getting top dollars for your services when they buy singles. In a perfect world, that's all there would be, no packages. Ahhhhh.

I love single sessions ching! On the flip side, I hate that I cannot be certain I will see them again next week.I offset my chances them with the VIP card...They get a free Tan if they fill it. Single sessions tanners only get these cards.

Often times it is just that they are trying to hide it from their hubbie or family members do not want them tanning. Possibly the probably half *** feel guilty for tanning....with all the bad press out their too.

In teh past, some have even admited it to me! "Just a single please I do not want cancer"
WTF? Of course, I have to give them a trifold on the benefits of tanning and safty precautions you should take when sunning outdoors. I just tell them 'I completely understand why you feel that way...The false media hype out there can effect your views on tanning...Funny you should bring that up.Here is some info to help you prevent you from getting skin cancer.'

But more often then not single session tanner simply have been burned by other salons 'poof' ..disappearing overnight. Usually just after they bought a package. Hence, they now do not trust any salon.

In the last year, I have had three long time, single session tanners actually buy a package!!! ( a big one....even one sign up to the EFT...wooohoo.
Afterward, They admitted it was about trusting that we would be here tomorrow and wanted to see how often we changed lamps. Also it helped that I did not press them to buy a package. Like other salons did.

Now they all come more often...and because of that they purchase more lotion and aftertan. Which makes up for the lost extra ching single session bring in.

I get a lot of the single sessions too... I had one guy buy a package in 20 min bed, then paid $5 each visit to upgrade... Hey I am not gonna complain
