It will depend on what you want them to do. Work the day shifts and do some scheduling and ordering or do lots more......ie, advertising, negotiate with landlords, hire, fire, shop for supplies, ect. Will they have set hours and when they are done for the day they are truly done for the day or on call 24/7????

I think the money thing is your business. Myself my boss doesnt want to hear from me unless I need to replace an air conditioner. I take care of the business an accountant takes care of the bills and money. If you do hire someone in this capacity remember the amount has to be enough that this is thier only job. They need to be able to be there at any time. If they know they cant be there they need a back up plan in place. Even on vacation I am calling in once or twice a day.
You have your hands full and your mind and body will be somewhere else. Good luck to you and your wife. |

I am having a bit of a financial issue with my current boss. I am the only manager and I have been with him since BEFORE the store opened. Helped Setup and pick the floors even. I do all the hiring, firing, training, scheduling, end of month commission, charge VIPS, created a pretty thick and pretty specific Employee Handbook & schedule all meetings the list DOES go on. I work 6 days aweek, & ALWAYS have my cell on me when im not here. I am basically on call. If something goes down I am always HAPPY to be there. I am GREAT with customers and bring in a pretty good penny for the salon at the end of the month when it comes to sales.
I have worked in and around tanning salons since i was 16. But this is my first Managment position. I don't think I am being payed fairly, but i love the job, my boss, my customers, and the people i work with. It is helping me on the way to owning my own salon. What would you think would be fair pay for someone who does as much as I do? and How do I bring it up (again). Because I have, and all i get is. "When I can afford it.....". I'm only making enough at the end of the month to pay about 2/3 of my bills. Please help. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: GreekPrincess on 2004-10-31 21:16 ] |
