vacation anyone?? - Page 4

No, It's hard enough finding people that will work for what I pay plus free tan and lotion. All family members that live near me all work. I'm just going to have to hope and pray that people will not get the wrong impression of my cutting back of hours. It won't be too long before I can go back to the long days. I am keeping everything real up beat, shelves stocked with lotion, all my other stuff (candles, t shirts, body jewelry) stocked up - people should not think I am fixing to close the business. Next month I am planning on doing some painting and "sprucing" up a bit.

I dont think that people will think you are closing up shop especially since you will be posting it well in advance - Not only that it too slow to worry about it

Anytime you close your inviting YOUR customers to go else where. Not a good idea.

Sounds like it. may have to just "suck it up" and go back to my regular hours. I haven't had any complaints yet from my customers. Let me give it a week and see. I only have 2 girls that work for me and one just had surgery so she will be out till the first of November maybe then I will go back to regular hours.

I will be leaving for my first vacation in over 2 years on Nov. 14-18. I will probably also take the 19th and 20th off once I return since I am off on Sundays and Mondays anyway. I am going to the Smokey Mountains in TN for a week. Me and my husband will be staying in a cabin and just getting away from the real world for a few days. We thought about taking our horses with us, but then decided that we didn't want ANY responsibilities whatsoever. I will be paying 3 girls to run the salon for me while I'm gone. My 20 year old daughter is one of them, and will be in charge. I know I can trust her and also the other two (one being my 19 year old neice), and it is worth every penny that I pay them, just to get away for awhile. I worked the salon by myself for the first year 74 hours a week with the exceptions of a bed cleaner in peak season. I think I deserve to get away! My daughter will be the only one allowed to call me and she can call me anytime. The only time I will allow the others to call me is if my daughter is at work at her other job and it is of utmost importance to contact me. I definetely would not close or cut my hours. I don't want to give the competition a chance to win over my customers. I have already set money back for payroll, so come next Sunday, I'm out of here!
