NO new year specials. I have starting getting clients email addresses and if they get the newsletter via email there is a 10.00 off coupon on month unlimited, or they can go to the website and get a $5.00 off coupon. No more specials until the summer.

The only thing with honoring other salons coupons that I can see is that not all salons package prices are the same or catered to the same type beds...You will have to make sure you dont get burned by that, but sounds like a great thing to try and see how it goes, you can always change your mine...thats the greatness of owning your own business, you make the rules.

The only coupon I ran was: Ring the New Year with Buy one session any level get one free (must be of equal value). This is the last! I did that promo just to get new clientele and of course get clients I haven't seen since September back in. Everyone who came in january were motivated to start tanning anyways, so they are buying the packages anyways. So no more specials for me! I need to recoup after this "SLOOOOOOW SEASON"

Re: new years specials
I do the year (2007). With 100 min for $20.07 that brings in a little cash to get them started. This year I think I am going to do this and they get the deal if they purchase a bottle of lotion. The one thing I have learned since I have had this salon for 2 yrs now is that the lotions are were you make your money!!
