Our phone scripts have really help streamlined a lot of things - especially since you can get the same question 20 times in one day! It really helps out a lot in the busy season when we have new consultants, lots of customers, and not much telephone time - the customer IN the salon should ALWAYS get priority over the ones on the phone, IMHO.

We never give prices we turn the conversation on them we ask the questions and they answer, they forget why they called and we see them 9 out of 10 times. We have used phone script for 5 years and we have it down. Then when price shoppers ring your salon again they get the same thing and it either stops the Cheap ones from calling or they get so curious because you come across professional for they got the same answers as the first time around, which maybe another salon told them 2 different things. More professional more members more $$$$$ just my opinion

Sample of a phone script would be appreciated . If you are having a problem Cleaning the beds and picking up a phone: We use a cordless head set it fixed the problem for $100.

We give out prices over the phone and try to be as helpful and professional as possible, when we are very busy we tell them just that and ask them to come in and let us show them around. When I think it is my competition that is calling (somehow you just KNOW when it is them) I like to tell them to come on in and let us show you around and tan today for free. I have so much confidence in my salon, if they come in and really want to tan, they will stay with me, I am more expensive than the "slum" down the road, but you get what you pay for. It is working so far, God-willing it will continue. (I like to give credit where it belongs!!)
