What are some suggestions for fair salary for salon managers working for larger salon chain?

I would think some sort of hourly or weekly pay, plus a percentage of profit to keep them interested in how the salon is doing and motivate them towards increasing business and keeping costs inline.

or you could offer then a slight partnership ......this way the more they work the more they can make and in years to come have a bigger slice of the pie......

The past few weeks here have been absolutely crazy, my owner offered to sell me the whole kit-n-kaboodle for $1.00....I told him to much...his counter 50 cents....I'm still thinking!!!!

Realistically, a salary plus a percentage of sales (higher percentage if business is up, lower percentage if business is down) I think is fair.
