Ok I actually have a few questions about lotions. I've been tanning for awhile but just recently getting into using lotion and everything.

1st off, I had a friend tell me that he thinks John Abante is the best brand of lotions. What does everyone think of that brand? I just bought the Forman Tanning Enforcer and I'm about to use it tonight. Does anyone know if I can put that on my face? Secondly, if John Abante is the best why is it so cheap? I just got my bottle for about $30. The salon I go to sells Swedish Beauty brand lotions and that stuff gets up to about $60 a bottle. What does everyone think of that brand? And lastly, how well do those tanning extender moisturizing lotions work? Do I really need to use those and do they make a difference?

I know these are a lot of questions, but any help anyone could give me would be helpful, Thanks

John Abate' is one of the best on the market. If you got Forman for $30 you got a deal. Maybe they were running a sale. I think suggested retail is $36 for Forman.

Approx 80+ % of my lotion sales is JA. It is produced with all natural premium vitamins and botanicals. Great skin care line.

Do not ever use a tingle lotion on your face. You should use a lotion specifically formulated for the face, as the facial tissue is thinner than the rest of your body.

I also suggest UV22 for men.

I actually got it for only like $23 at that tanforless.com place, that was before I joined this board though. Yesterday I saw all the postings about him in the archives here

Yes, TanPimp, please promise you will buy all your lotions from now on at a professional tanning salon! I would definitely steer clear of using a tingle on your face. There are many e xcellent lotions made specifically for the face...Soaking' Up the Rays Facial Rays and Cal Tan's Illuminate, just to name a few.I must also sing the praises of tan extending moisturizers. They really do help extend the color you have achieved. My favorite lines are designer Skin, Soakin' Up the Rays, and John Abate.

TanPimp,

Your question about putting that product on your face is precisely why you should not be buying your tanning products on the internet. The reason is simple. No one was able to educate you on what products to purchase or where on your body to use them. Had you purchased a higher tingle factor product and put that on your face, you would not have been pleased.

You might pay a higher price in a salon but you get what you pay for. That is service and education.

The Forman is only a tingle factor 2 so theoretically, you can apply it to your face, but I don't recommend it, esp. f you have never used a tingle on your face. You need to purchase a facial product as well. Try Carotene Cremem. It has no tingle and is made specifically for your face.

I will not give anymore info to you here about which lotions to purchase because I would rather you go into your local salon and ask them. I don't want to make it easy for you to purchase over the net. John Abate is actively trying to stop the sales of JA products on the net.

Tara

Well thanks for the advice. I will try to purchase it in a salon next time, but there is a few reasons why I didn't. The main reason is I couldn't find it anywhere locally. My salon only sells Swedish Beauty, and I really didn't know where to get it. I usually buy most things off the internet anyways, so I just thought it would be easier. Maybe John Abate should list the Salons by each state that carry the products, that would be helpful. After I recieved the lotion in the mail, I e-mailed the address found on the John Abate website and I never got a reply. All I did was simply ask if I could use it on my face and I never got a response. I'm glad I got my question answered on here though. Thank you.

TanPimp,

Post what city/state you live in and maybe someone here on tantalk can help you locate a salon in your area that carries JA products.
