Does anyone run special discount pricing during a slower time of the day, even during busy season? I find that lunch hour here is still a slow time. I know...starnge!! Should I wait and see in a couple weeks when true busy season hits or should I run a special during this time anyway...all through the season?

I have never tried running a special to tan at certain times (not busy times). To me, it could get confusing and hard to enforce at all times. I work too many hours and prefer things to run smoothly!
Hey, you could always try it and see. That's how you learn. Then, if you find one or two things about it need to change, then you change it the next time you run the special.
One time I ran a special (1 month - $40). Oh my God! Never again. Alot of people bought it, but it killed my sales for that month because it was such a cheap special. I learned on that one!

I do run a lunch time package that is good ONLY M - F, 10 - 2. The price would vary depending on your location and equipment. When I started it, I sent out flyers to all the offices nearby. I have had a huge response. I did add an upgrade charge to tan any other time than this but they rarely do this. Some of them buy another package that they can use anytime to use on evenings or weekends. There is a little deli in the strip with us so alot of them order their lunch before tanning. It is ready when they are done tanning. Works great for us.

Actually scub that isn't a bad idea.... When we relocate,(I know you guys have heard me mention this several times.) But anyway when we do, we want to build a small complex, (strip mall). I would like to have a specialty sandwich shop and a coffee house in our new strip. Husband is negoitating with a business client of his now for all this to happen by the time the highway takes our salon out.

oops, Back on topic. I don't see the need in my area to do the special time pricing. Although I have considered to do a special for a day of the week that is slower than usual. Like $1 off a tan on Tues. or give a free sample on that day. How bout Free Sample Saturday?

we do a calender for the month at first of each month, tape it right to our counter top and post it on our website, have specials days once a week, ranges from 2 bucks off lotion sample to pkg specials to % off lotion bots. People live for the calenders now, think we have created a monster sometimes when people call up to see what our monthly specials are.
