Hey scub, we do a calendar too and they call near the end of the month wanting to know what is on the new calendar. It is hard to come up with new things all the time. We usually do a %off lotion day once a month.

happy hours 7am-9:30am M-Sat as well as 9:30pm-11pm M-F ~ $3 for base bed/hex (or you can consider it $4 off anything)

in our area the salons are pretty dense. one of my good employees suggested that we do a discount from 9-2 and I considered it, but you have to consider that you have to do x percent more business just to offset the discount and then you will upset the people that cant come during that time and such, so I just decided to hold off at least till after season. about a year and a half ago I ran a special for 15 tans in 30 days, just to keep people from tanning everyday on unlimited, and found out that the 15 tan people tanned more and were more upset about losing the left over tans then the unlimited people. and the 15 tan people paid less then the unlimited. I will never do that again.

We do the 15 visit/30 day package. If they run out of visits before month they can pay a per/visit charge that is lower than single visit. So far it is working great and has opened up beds so I can accomodate more people since they don't feel like they 'have' to tan every day to get their money's worth.
