Hi,
new here, but have found all the info very helpful.

I have a problem in my salon with W/D. We would like to add them, but we're not allowed to vent the dryer to the outside (make any holes in the outside walls, we lease our building). How do we do add them with NO VENT to outside? Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what on earth did you do?!?!?!

TIA
AQween

I can't wait to fail because I use an expensive paper towell instead of throwing money away on towells and W/D. It's been 3 years and 3 owners all using paper towells and the acryllics never were replaced due to overscratching from paper towells. Also, Bounty will always be soft. Terry Cloth is good for about a dozen washes before they become scratchy. No one will ever be stealing my paper towells either.

We just added our second washer and dryer. we use dryer sheets on the client towels and no softener on the cleaning towels. But we use the same dryer sheet all day otherwise it makes the towels hold too much moisture and they don't absorb as well, they just push the sweat around on your skin. We also found that it leaves a film on the beds.

You should not put any softners or sheets in with your towels. This is why you are seeing the streaking on the beds. U never know if the client is wiping the bed after they get out of the bed. I have also found that if you use you cleaning solution at full strength it will remove all the film you find on the beds, especially from client who have used a moisturizer with mineral oil. Just be sure to clean with warm water after using the full strength solution. *just a tip*

Can't you vent through the ceiling? Might cost you all of $20 to run it up and out?!?

We would have to have SO many towels if we didn't have W/D in the salon. One washer, 2 dryers per salon and during season they can barely keep up!!!!

If at all possible, go with a gas dryer as it cuts the drying time by at least a third.
