Why does any salon need a washer? Have you ever heard of paper towels? Bounty works great.

Any paper applied to your acrylic will damage them.. scratches.. You will have to replace acrylic a lot faster.

We are making plans now for our expansion for next year. We will be adding 2 more dryers to our laundry room by building a wooden platform and setting the 2 new dryers overtop of the existing 2 dryers we have. That will give us 2 washers and 4 dryers. I got tired of having to go to the laundramat and catch up to our laundry during the busy busy days. You would think that 2 washers and 2 dryers would do it but with HP having large towels and Mystic using bath size towels you eat up a laundry set up real fast.

I have found that fabric softener leaves a residue on towels which leaves a film on beds. I have never tried dryer sheets though. We didn't have a W/D for about our first 6 months. I got so sick of lugging towels home and to laundromat. We even had a customer who would come midday and take a couple of loads home....WOW, I had forgotten about that! My W/D runs all day now. I don't know what we would do without it. We burned up one dryer. The second one I bought was a commercial unit and it does great!

What about a towel service??I have 2 commercial washer and dryers in my salon, however we have had several "towel service" people stop in to try and see if we needed their "services". They apparently supply you with towels and wash and return new ones as needed. Kind of like a baby diaper service if you will.

Don't you feel that it's kind of yucky to wash 1000's of other peoples sweaty towels in a washer in your home that you then wash your personal clothes and bed sheets in etc??JMOP

I'm with Teresa.....one washer and two dryers at each salon. All running constantly from 7am-11pm daily. And, yes, we use dryer sheets but no fabric softener in the wash.
