Thank you so much for your response! If we nail these things fast and often we can make a statement. Comment added below auto-email:

The blatent bias and lack of substantiation in these articles demonstrate an extreme lack of journalistic integrity. For the sake of your publication's credibility, and for at least a gesture of apology to upstanding tanning businesses, it is imperative that you set the record straight immediately. Retract the harm you have caused with facts you are now aware of.

The Orlando Sentinel is the closest thing to a National Inquirer type paper that you'll see for a major city. Very little fact checking on a lot of articles, not just tanning. Much sensationalism. The least they could do is print it on softer paper so you could use it to wipe your......

My comments:

Quote:I am a lead moderator of a website called Tantalk.com... along with several others. We work very hard to educate not only salon owners, but also the general public, salon employees and the media. I am very sad and disheartened to see that a publication such as your own would use such slanted and clearly biased information. This is an abuse of a leadership role that you have in your community. It is up to people such as yourself to research your findings thoroughly before proceeding to print. We at Tantalk are very careful with the information (or misinformation) that we have and how we go about reporting it. I appreciate a response to this letter.

I had 8 guests bring us the aritcal the first day out.. 10 the next..
I told them to just leave the paper with me so I could line my birds cage with it.. but Jim said our bird Cotton( he's a 18 yr old huge Cockatoo) was much to wonderful to allow him to crap on THAT PAPER..

This is a slower time of year for us in the tanning area of the studio..yes.. but it is the idea we have combat these statements..to people who have been with us for years..or just want to grab a nice relaxing tan with us from time to time...
We have an outline for answering the concerns the guests may ask the team members about..we are to follow the guideline when answering the questions.. 98% of the guideline comes from our Don Smith.. .. so you know it's knock out GRRRREAT..
and WE even defend Electric Beach which is a salon around the corner from us..
yes they were sighted for cleaning solution not being strong enough.. but we say.. what was it off by one micron? This story was written with out FACTS..or data to back up the drama..
Electric Beach is no threat to Transformations..no one is a threat to us.. we are in this together, as industry professionals... Each of us do our business the way we think we should.. and there are all kinds of people in this State.. one of the 1705 tanning salons/studios in Central Fla will make the buyer happy... Not one place is perfect for everyone..

Respecting fellow owners and the public is what Transformations is about on a business level in our community.. This woman Stephanie Ericson dragged our industry through the muck.. She is the enemy.. not my so called competition around the corner.

Thanks for sending your e-mails in..
Love,
C

Remember we are very different than just a "tanning salon" in town..
We speak softly to our guests and carry BIG STICKS to defend our brothers and sisters in this industry!!!

xoxox thank-you for sticking by us on this
