I just wondered what kind of cross advertising everyone does with others in your strip mall or close local businesses. Does anyone do anything with local travel agencies? I've been comtemplating several things recently. I'll comment more after I get some responses.

I cross advertise a lot. Usually with gyms, or travel agents. Sometimes we sponsor events too, like weight lifting competitions or competitors, a rowing team this year, a special radio weekend event. I also find that travel shows and wedding shows are great advertising as well.

I have thought about cross advertising with bridal shops and travel agents many times but I have never actively sought it out. I would be curious to hear more input on what kind of results you get from these. Good project for me to try to get implemented this winter.

I think anything relating to "appearance" could be successful. Hair salons, spas, nail salons, gyms, vitamin shops, etc. People who frequent these places typically are "vain" or, at the very least, concerned with their appearance.

Nutrition stores, apartment complexes, auto repair shops, day cares (Mom needs "me" time), real estate agents, and currently working on gym #3. Take care of staff at any and all of these locations, and they will take care of you.

The gentlemans clubs is a great place to advertise and give free tanning passes. We have several regular tanners who are dancers and spend lots of money with us. The DJ gave away 10 free week passes one night last week for us.

cutiepup, I recomend to my clients that they go to local dry cleaners and pizza palors. And work out and arrangements with them to put your new client coupon on the pizza or clothing. Most pizza places have 700 to 1200 pickups and deliveries per week. Thats a lot of your coupons going out for a very little price. Offer them free tanning or offer to print up their coupons or paper menus. These places like to save a buck so make them an offer. Dry cleaners you will probably have to offer them money, but it will be well worth it. These are the people who have spendable incomes who take vacations. If you have any other questions please ask. Thanks Steve
