Do you first call these companies on the phone or do you go in to them in person.
Also, what kind of deals do you have with them. Do you let them tan free for a certain amount of time, or do you offer cash, and if so how much. Thanks for any input. This is a wonderful idea, I am just not sure how to go about contacting them, and what to offer. |

Everyone pretty much hit upon all the areas that I've been thinking about for cross advertising. I'm in between a pizza place and a drycleaner. Pizza place just opened this week - after they are more settled we are going to work out a deal for me to get flyers on their boxes. I'll probably give gc's for tanning that they can use for their employees. I like the dry cleaning idea hadn't thought about the coupons on clothes.
We have several new sub-divisions going in near us I'm planning a visit on behalf of our strip to get a welcome to the neighborhood flyer in all new home-owners hands. Another idea that I'm getting together is contacting a local dermatologist about giving him cards, to refer his patients that he recommends tanning as treatment to us. He is a very popular derm in this area and he recommends tanning to his patients and not necessarily at his office. Tells his patients to get receipts for tanning and turn then in for insurance. Could be a plus for me. Suncatcher, I normally stop in to visit with my cross advertisers. It makes a better impression when you are face to face rather than on the phone. Just ask them what you could do for them in return. If they have employees give some gc's - Employers always like to have incentives for their employees. Anyone else have any thoughts? Cutiepup |

Angie,
These are great ideas. You seem to be feeling better about the biz these days. Good for you! Keep up the good work. You DO have a great location and a really nice, salon. You will begin to see your work rewarded more and more. GO GIRL! Pam |
