A salon down the street has expanded and added a coffee shop to her business just wondering if any of you have this sort of combo or have seen one before? Never heard of this or seen anything like this. How well do these two go together, I just can't imagine having a hot coffee after getting out of a tanning bed! But maybe im wrong!

The previos owner of our first salon had originally combined tanning with a smoothie shop. He did well, but not as well as he would have liked. It requires more staffing, training and expenses. In TX, it requires more stringent visits from the Health Department.
I think that it's a great concept, but it's not something that I would do. |

Both kinda of help you unwind so to speak. So I see the connection. A salon that I worked for in VaBeach opened a Coffee Shop but it was seperate from the salon. I could see where it would be beneficial in slow season because I would think business would pick up on the coffee side. But also all of the concerns that tangirl presented would need to be addressed.
