Congratulations and "thanks" to the following member of Ask Don's Army for taking the time to send an e-mail to TEPRSSC stating their opinions regarding Amendment 3 - Definition of a Manufacturer.

1. Elsa Garrett - A Place In The Sun.
2. Kent Orso - Cancun Rayz Tanning.
3. Stephen Miller - Tropitan Tanning Centers.
4. Sheila Mensching - Golden Tan Salon - Como.

Note to Elsa, Kent, Stephen and Sheila: Your comments were given to the TEPRSSC members prior to the meeting and made available to the meeting attendees.

Did the comments made by these folks play a role in obtaining the favorable "outcome" regarding Amendment 3 - Definition of a Manufacturer? YES! I believe that some of the comments made by various TEPRSSC members during the discussion period indicated that they had read and were "influenced" by their comments.

What is next regarding this Amendment? Now, we must work with FDA to (1) Define the "terms" of this Amendment, especially the word "performance"; and (2) help them develop a "standard test protocol" for sunbeds in order to make possible the objective, standardized measurement of the "performance" of a sunbed.

The "bottom line" is that Elsa, Kent, Stephen and Sheila "done good" and I hope that all of you reading this will (1) take time to "thank" them, and, (2) resolve to do YOUR part the next time Ask Don asks YOU to help by sending e-mails.

Thank you Elsa, Kent, Stephen and Sheila for taking the time to "make a difference" regarding the outcome of Amendment 3 - Definition of a Manufacturer.

Don

Well done to all of you and especially to you Don for all your relentless hard work. Your victory in stemming the flow of regulatory changes is most admirable. I’m ready to send a check.

Thanks again,
Robbie

Robbie:

Thanks for your support!

Regarding the check, please make sure that it has a lot of zero's after the first number. LOL

BTW, I was pleased to note that one of the TEPRSSC members insisted that FDA include the words "Avoid Overexposure" on the warning label. Another felt that the warning label should "differentiate" between "acute" overexposure issues like sunburn and "chronic" overexposure issues like skin aging and skin cance.

All in all, the TEPRSSC members made some very perceptive and helpful suggestions.

Recognizing that most clients won't "read" the warning label on the sunbed, TEPRSSC wants FDA to "explore" requiring that new clients sign an "informed consent" form before they tan for the first time.

Don

PS: I was surprised that your e-mail didn't get to the TEPRSSC members. My guess is that those that went only to Dr. Cyr didn't get to TEPRSSC. Next time we'll make sure that everyone knows to CC Dr. Suleiman. In a conversation I had with Dr. Cyr, he told me that he was giving a lot of thought to your comments regarding overexposure, underexposure, etc., so your "message" was productive![ This Message was edited by: Don Smith on 2002-05-23 10:34 ]

I've found one interesting site in the Internet http://www.770k.com. This company offers favorable services:
770k works in a correct direction, explaining, that such projects are necessary for the development of a modern society and sights.
Is it joke?

Why ask if this is a joke if it is your website?
