As mentioned in the "action spectrum" post, the visible wavelengths from 400 - 435 nm have enough "energy" to cause tanning but not sunburning. Beyond that, the only value is so that we know our lamps are on (you can't "see" the UVR (280 - 400 nm) wavelength which is why they are called "black light"). Now the LSAS is another story.... Don |
