Concrete Staining

I know we have talked about this before.

http://www.kemiko.com/ has a concrete stain that you can use to decorate the floors.

I need to know if anyone has ever done this. How time consuming is it? How durable is it? How expensive is it? Did you start with clean concrete or did you have to remove carpeting and clean the concrete first? If so, how much of a hassle is that?

Thanks for all of your help. I need an answer pretty quickly.

Tangirl, I am planning on this in our next salon.... I look at this this way, I may beable to carpet or other options a little cheaper or faster. But It SAys, good for outdoors as well as indoors. So I am thinking it will pay off in the long run to take the pains now.

Look at a lot of the motels and resturants outside their doors, (drive up at motels) A lot of them have this. Looks like stones cause they score it to look that way.,

Looked at their website and this stuff looks amazing. I am curious as to what it costs and how much labor it is. Any info? We have comercial carpet now and it is very durable but gets very dirty. The only problem with this product you have to mop and I hate mopping.

Nichole - Get a Swiffer Wet or Wet Jet. It's a lifesaver for those of us that hate to mop. Gets a little on the expensive side, but as far as I am concerned it is well worth it.

Look at this way, it may cost a little more in the begining. BUT it is there for the duration of the building. Motels, Resturants even put this on their entrances outside.

Very durable and no more lotion and grim in that carpet for germs and what not.
