But NOT to the ...

If YOU think you are one of THEM I'm sorry for you, if not, this doesn't apply to you then, does it?

Only YOU can decide what catagory YOU place yourself in...

Don is trying to confuse you here, HE is saying this element doesn't make YOU the real professionals look bad when they troop into the trade shows, on stilleto heels, scarfing up bags of free lotions, the FREEBIE VULTUES are real, I hope the readers here are not ignorant of that reality.

Thank you Don, but Bruce is given all he has to offer here.
Pride and prejudice prevent him from stepping up to the plate. For what that apology was worth, he could have just PMed the few women he is claiming to be worthy of his respect.
Like Chris, I know what he is all about and his opinion of me weighs very little in the scheme of things.
The real issue is now ... where is ITA/Smart Tans... remarks about this "Erin Issue".

Don: No dancing now my love - - - barely able to keep my eyes open . . . but unable to go to sleep until this is revisited and you can be enticed to let go of the personal angst that will NOT allow us to move forward! ~ please understand, if I took offense to every disparaging remark made about me I would be 6 feet under . . . . I believe you have also called me a bimbo (I would have to research the threads to quote you direct - but I believe alcoholic bimbo was the jist of it) but this is NOT what is important here!

On one hand you accuse me of attacking unnecessarily, the content and posts on this site ~ and now when I come with an open heart and uncurled fist, in an attempt to review this situation with my peers in this industry - you accuse me of expensive tap dancing lessons? ? ? How do I please you anymore? ? ?

Here is the deal ~

I know PhD's that are wonderfully stupid.

I know wealthy people with the social grace and class of wild boars.

I know Salon Owners that should be shut down but are successful, and Salon Owners that struggle to do the right thing - and will not survive the future of this industry.

**All of these are personal observations and amount to a hill of NOTHING when trying to discover what our common denominator is on this ITA issue.

To choose Erin B as a Keynote Speaker at 35 k when the industry is needing to drive home the education of the world at large ~ is a BAD Choice . . ..

BUT to choose Erin B - whose very reason for being where she is today is on the backs of industries she helped sue (right or wrong does not enter in here - or - there) that is more than a bad choice ~ it is potential mass murder in the legal arena of those that NEED to remain in the spot lite.

You are demanding an apology for opinions of my master on WHY an organization would choose this particular woman to participate (and find no fault with the apparent connection they (ITA) are drawing to the Salon Owner Segment in their choice). And worse, would deflect or not act upon the potential dangers this issue holds for the industry you love because you disagree with the opinions my master on his opinion on why he feels the ITA is hoping to connect with the emotions of the “you go girl” league of owners.

Is he wrong Don? Do you as a male in this industry feel that Erin B could stir you to a passion to want to better the industry – like right now! I doubt it. For 35K she should be able to turn water into wine and make a silk purse out of a sows ear!

But Don ~ your help in needed to stop the madness! This is a sincere plea on the part of a woman in the salon segment that values what you have done in the past ~ and knows what you could contribute to the future, if the petty digs can be put aside.

I have been advised that at one time, you would have dispatched this issue within 24 hours of the hit. A man who respects your abilities told me this. If this is so, then continue to make your jabs at my intentions or my dancing ability ~ but get moving and do what is right for the Indoor Tanning Industry now!

Times a wasting Don.

Don, did you spend $35,000 for Ditka? Don't you think that's a pretty large sum of cash?

This is a very true fact.. and anyone thinking different..needs to re-think it..

Thank-you for posting..
Your making a difference..
Keep up the hard work..
I know this takes alot of time on everyones part to make real issues important..

I would appreciate all information on this subject as it unfolds..
Reading it in a magazine is very different than discussing it openly..

Or maybe if we send them no money they will listen to us. I need to talk to Chris, who by the way bought her business with not one red cent of mine, about the actual impact the ITA has on her salon. I ask you all to do the same. What are your options? Lets investigate.

Sheila, Thank you for posting your thoughts without the invective, they make sense and are much more interesting.

Don, Bruce has a problem with women, old or young or strong or weak. I really can put no stock in anything the man says. Until his situation is cleared up, I can not give him credence at all.

As for Erin, the ITA is making a major faux pas in choosing her as a speaker. The media will jump on the bandwagon in no time. I would like to see a copy of her speach before hand, and that dosen't mean she would have to stick to it. No disrespect to her, but shouldn't the ITA have a speaker with credentials speak at the convention?

>>What concerns me is that (so far) I am the only one protesting your misogynistic behavior. Why aren't others, especially women (including those who patronize this website), taking exception to your disparaging remarks?
Don,

I'll take a stab at that one. Whether Bruce rants or not is unimportant, what counts is that we now have the info. What counts more is: what are we going to do with it?
