Good luck Stacey. Knock 'em dead girl.

My radio guy came in today. I did ask about giving prizes in their contest. He is going to get back to me regarding the Hot Hits weekends deals. Sounds like a great thing to do.

He also mentioned that they just started something new. It is Kariokie Thursdays. What they do is starting on Mondays your business gets advertised 5 times on the morning breakfast show everyday Mon - Thur. And then on Thurs morning for 1 hour they come to your place and do a remote. You give prizes to people that want to come by and sing live on the radio. Cost is only 500.00. Wish they had been doing this when I had my JA/Cust. Appreciation day. I am thinking of doing this possibley in May or June. What do you think. Would June be to late to spend this kind of money on advertising???

It's possible that June is the best time to spend this kind of money on adverising. Give the prize maybe a 3 month expiration. This could get some of the winners in during Sept. which is usually the slowest month of the year.

I do my radio spots too. As I've said before, I'm in a very small town and there is only one radio station, but there are several small surrounding towns. Everyone here knew I was opening and what I was, but the surrounding area didn't. So many people pick up this station and it is always the same 4 voices you hear doing the commercials over and over. The few that are brave enough to record their own spot get paid attention to just because it sounds different. I am one of those. I think that this time I have talked on of my employees into doing it for me. She is nervous, but has a great voice and it could keep the High School coming even though prom is over.
