I just wanted to share how helpful the posters from "SUR" have been for boosting lotion sales. I bet I have had at least 3-4 tanners a day asking what lotions and after tannning moisturizers are best and which ones I recommend. The how/what and why of using tanning lotions on the posters is pretty "matter of fact" and people ARE reading them. What an opportunity to sell product!

I agree, the posters do help sell product, they bring lots of inquiries about the lotion. My only complaint is about distributors that promise to send posters, then they never do. If I sell your product, wouldn't you want to send posters to reinforce your product? It should be automatic with lotion purchases - what do you say?

Since we painted all of the rooms we do not have posters anywhere except for the warning signs required by law in our state. Nice, clean, and spam free rooms. We have received positive feedback from customers on this.

I agree Tamar. I think cheap posters are alittle tacky.........I have also painted, and have alot of tropical things on the wall. I guess it depends on the look you want in the salon. I'm looking for bright and tropical, spamming takes away the tropical clean look I'm trying to create.
Do I think that the posters help sales? I don't know. If I'm tan and the people that work for me are tan, the customer is going to ask what we use. It's more believable then a poster that promises something... |

I am glad I am not the only poster "snob" out there. We feature a local artist group on our walls and it is very nice. I have women come in and say, "it is so nice not having to look at a 15 year old naked tan girl on the wall here" Plus they can buy the artwork if they choose.
We all ask everytime we put someone in a room how their skin is doing and if they need a lotion. More personal, just my opinion. Dawn |

Well said, 2shoes. I think society is bombarded with marketing & advertising enough, they come to us to relax. The previous owner had them everywhere, even in the bathroom. We did, for a while, post an 8 1/2 by 11 fact sheet on wearing eyewear where anyone sitting on the toilet had to read it...

I don't put any posters in my rooms, I only put regs. and any other pertinent info. My rooms are also painted (by me, in my spare time, LOL) and are very relaxing. I just use one poster per lotion company in the hallway. I do like the idea of paintings from local artists that the customers can purchase.
