I was just typing about the cell phone use and just had a thought about another business I worked in where the guys used to take off their shirts. I worked for a major theme park and our policy was that all guests had to wear a shirt (or halter, swim top for the ladies). Most of our staff was too worried about making a Guest mad so they never said anything to them. It used to be fun to walk around, find some gorgeous, ripped guy and tell him to put his shirt back on. I never had anyone challenge me. Once... one guy asked "What ya gonna do bout it?" I just casually brought my walkie talkie up to my mouth and he goes... "OKay... Laurie(looking at my name tag) I get the point" and put it back on.

I know winter's coming... but it's in the 70's here today. Do guys ever come in without a shirt? Do you allow that? What about after tanning? Does anyone ever come out without one on? What do you say? Do you say anything?

We don't say anything. Just let it slide. My partner had a woman come in wearing only a thong. Bad visual, sorry, I know what this woman looks like. Anyway, we have people come in wearing skimpy workout clothes, houseshoes, etc. I just let it go. "To each his own," they say.

We too have people come in straight from the gym and many times the guys are not wearing shirts. In the mornings some even come in to tan in their Pj's. I have never commented on anyone's attire in the salon other than my employees.

NO TAN LINES

I have the same thing. I'm right next to a gym, so they are coming in right after work out. Skimpy shorts, no top, etc. In the morning, alot of the ladys come in their bj's. I think its cute. They feel at home here, and no, knowone says anything.

I've had them come in, early morning in their PJs. I'm glad they feel that my salon is that comfortable for them.

I don't care what someone wears when they come in to tan. It is so much easier to wear PJ's, sweats, workout clothes when coming in to tan. That way clients can go home, shower, get ready for whatever and not have to change outfits 15 times

I had a guy come out in a turquiose sparkly thong. He said he needed my opinion on it because he was thinking about wearing it for a catalogue shoot.

People came to the salon in various states of undress...

Or they came in dressed, and left barely dressed.

There is a salon I was at where the employees don't wear shoes...at least in the summer.

I knew this would be a fun topic. I've never actually gone in my pajamas... okay maybe at the last salon I used to go to, I would show up in plaid pants and a Green Bay Packer shirt. I have a friend who ALWAYS goes in her jammies... LOL!!

I open at 7a.m. so I do get some that come in pj's which is fine with me. One teen came the other night around 8:00 & brought her pj's & princess slippers to change into after she tanned. Now, that was different!

This guy would come in & he was pretty pumped. He'd get in my SunDazzler which is the closest to the lobby & I'd tell the females waiting to watch when he came out. He would change into his TIGHT gym clothes & as soon as he walked out the females would say "Who is THAT?".

Yes, I have a guy that is always coming in with his shirt off. I am in a strip mall & he will come across the parking lot with his shirt off! I have gotten to know him really well since he comes quite often & he said that he is walking advertisement for me when he comes in like that! Now that weather is getting colder, I don't think he will be doing that too much! I thought it was cute when he told me that. No, I am sure I wouldn't say anything - I have some girls that come out of the room with no shoes on. On the other hand, there is this one guy who has never come in or out without his shirt, but I wouldn't mind at all if he did, because he looks really good with his shirt on!! Bet, he looks even better with it off!! I barely noticed though, because after all I was WORKING!
