My salon has always been clean, but we have put extra attention on it in the past month. We have basically been cleaning everyday like it was spring cleaning. It is amazing how many customers have commented that this is the cleanest the salon has ever been. It is nice to see that your hard work does not go unnoticed. Typically during busy season I run 2 people at a time on the work shift. I am thinking of incorporating a 3rd person parttime into the schedule for keeping the salon top notch. How many people do you work at a time during busy season?

I also keep 2 here in the busy season, but have been thinking of a 3rd. I think lotion sales would increase if I have more time to spend with each client. and the cleaning would def. improve.

I agree with adding the third person during the busiest shifts. This way every client gets the individual attention they want/ need. Especially if you have new comers coming in, they might need a little extra explaination about packages, lotions, etc.

I agree that a clean salon is a must. I must say that I keep a good clean resort. I have a resort monthly cleaning list that is posted up every month on the 1st. Example of items to be cleaned: bed air hoses, fake plants, etc... I do most of the list, because I want to make sure it is done like I like. The employees have to initials and date by the things they clean. This way at the end of the month it is clear to me which employees sit around and which ones put forth an effort. I have to brag by saying that everytime Michael Chunn or Tracie Williams comes in to my resort one of the first things they say is "Your store is so clean." Tracie wants to clone me (haha).
