Re: Weird Employee Rules

We have a dress code; no logos, no chipped toenails (LOL), no tennis shoes. (I didn't make this) Were also really big on folding towels nicely.

Employees are responsible for keeping the grounds free of ice.

Having fun while at work is strictly forbidden and violators will be beaten to death.

Re: Weird Employee Rules

All employees are required to sell. Each employee is expected to aggressively go after customers, even when they are leaving.

Re: Weird Employee Rules

WHEW! I was starting to think that I was a hard *** when it came to doing things the way I want them. Systems for everything must be in place or it affect the level of customer service the client receives. I mean look at it from a clients prospective. If you were the client and you came in and had to look over the bed to make sure you had goggles and a towel and pillow instead of having them in the middle of the bed everytime in plain view from the door of the room, you would get frustrated. Also, if you come into a salon and the employee is talking on the phone and 1 or 2 of there friends are there hanging out, you would expext crappy service because you, the client doesn't have the attention of the attendant. Smoking in sight of the client is unprofessional and this is coming from a smoker. Smelling of smoke is extremely unprofessional. The employees should be doing things all day long so no internet and no reading while on the clock and NO TANNING ON THE CLOCK! you pay them to work not lay or sit. My partner gets mad at me becuase I have so many rules that need to be inforced but THEY NEED TO BE THERE! And that all I got to say about that... hit me up if any one has found some great systems to be in place in the salon!!

OMG.

If you have employees and they grow to hate you, they will do things to screw you that you would not ever imagine.

I am only reading part of the story here, so obviously don't know what kind of person you are, but based soley on this, I don't really know what else to say. I am ..... amazed.
