I am currently using Suntouch, but the support is incredible for the year, almost 400 dollars. It is a great program, but I was wondering if anyone is using anything they could suggest. I looked into Helios, but didn't really like it. What does everyone suggest??

I have Sunease, Not sure how good it is since I haven't got it up and running yet. Hopefully I will have everything set up by next month so we can get use to it before season starts. It seems to do all you could possibley want it to. check it out at www.fstcompany.com

I've had SunTouch going on 2 years & I've never called for support so I'm thankful that I didn't pay for the yearly support!

Look into Helios, I hate ETS but with their money this program will only get better and better. P.S. if $400 dollars sounds too expensive you are in the wrong business. Heck that's just one person on a yearly membership....if you look at it as giving a free tan away everyday for peace of mind it is a no-brainer.

Big Dawg: I am evaluating Helios at the moment. My understanding is that you get the software and then pay a $30/month maintenance fee which includes all support needed for that month.

Is that correct?

What are the other advantages to Helios and in time, wouldn't I come out to just pay for the software and then pay for the support on an as needed basis?

Tantalize, $30 per month sounds about right, I'm not sure because I normally pay by the year with all the money paid up front for a discount, but this varies from year to year.

Advantages: Been in the biz a long time... I can say I have been with Tony from the start and it has been a very rocky road at times, but things have always worked out. Security is very good and support is O.K. I will recommend just paying the fee and not paying on a "as needed" basis because you never know when you could come across a major problem. Personally I have had one major problem over the years and it was a pain in the *** to fix but Helios got it worked out. You are probably wondering why I am even suggesting Helios, I can honestly say that it is the lesser of all evil in the salon software wars....I have tried many others over the years. Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply Bigdawg!

I have someone else who's used it for years highly recommending and bugging the heck out of me until I actually get the program going.

I have the demo. He says I'll be much ahead of the game even years down the road by installing Helios now.
