If you need some simple decorating items, go to Wal Mart. Yesterday I found some placemats for $2.50 pkg of two. They have gold metallic and silver metallic along with some that are more holiday theme related.
If you use the gold metallic and place lotion bottles on them, they will be reflected onto the place mat. Cool. I am using a gold theme and it makes everything look festive and bright and classy. My tip for the day... |

I'm doing the gold and white irridescent theme with our x-mas tree this year. I'm going to put it up next weekend. Gold and white irridescent ornaments. Pure white lights. And a few packets and stocking stuffers that we are selling just to make it really festive.

I am doing a Santa theme. I have little Santa's that are going to be up in the salon in differnet locations. I have one HUGE Santa that I place next to the tree and in his sack there are EMPTY bottles of lotion, this makes for a reall attention getter. Once they see that, the light bulbs start going off.
I also turn my shelves into a stocking arangement. I take the big, fluffy red stocking and place employee names on them with tacky glue and sprinkled gold glitter on them. Then I take and stuff the stocking about 1/2 of the way with tissue paper and place lotions, goggles, gift certificates and some cany in them so that they can see just how easy it is to fill those stockings. I also offer to help them make that special someone happy, by selling them their own stocking to give to someone. I give them the stockings for free but require a $35.00 minimum order. Then what I do to really sell this idea is I offer them a discount for more money that they spend. I already have customers that have placed orders that the lowest starting price is $80. Who would have thought that this would generate that type of income? |
