Just wondering, how many of you use gloves when you clean your beds? I am still very new & I am sure I will be seeing many gross rooms to clean, but I have been pretty lucky so far & nothing too bad. Do you think I should be using gloves when I am cleaning the rooms?

Supply gloves for you staff!
If you don't want to wear them that up to you , but please supply them to staff that are required to clean dirty used tanning beds. If they go from one bed to the next with out clean gloves they spread infection from one bed to another. Its all about respect for the health and safety for your staff and clients. If your staff contracts scabies or ring worm or some other infectious disease on their hands and they become aware that you did not supply them with disposable gloves to wear while cleaning used bodily fluids from dirty used tanning beds you could be in deep trouble from the labor board as well as the health department and a civil law suit. Anyone cleaning dirty tanning beds should wear disposable gloves, and change them or wash them between each bed cleaning. YOUR CLIENTS AND STAFFS HEALTH SHOULD BE # 1. |

We all wear rubber gloves when cleaning booths and beds. I also provide disposable gloves for anyone who doesn't want to wear the same ones as everyone else. We also have hand sanitizer at our sink for staff and clients if they so wish. Some people do take advantage of this and the anti-bacterial soap.
Thanks, Stacey |

Considering the fact that my mother and I are the ONLY people to clean the beds, the supply of gloves and hand sanitizer doesn't get taken advantage of by anyone.
Of course I am going to put the health concerns of my customers, mother, and myself above the risk of any type of nasty diseases. Thank you Chipp! |
