MAN...does this get on my nerves!!! At one of the seminars in Nashville...this lady's phone rang...AND SHE ANSWERED IT...while the SPEAKER was SPEAKING!! i was like OH MY GOSH! And then i heard something behind me...and started smelling NAIL POLISH...YES...I KNOW...this OTHER LADY was doing her NAILS...GOOD GRIEF. allison, my beds are set so if they turn it off they cannot restart it.. too bad if you want to take a break while tanning

I had one client who was always on her cell phone. One day she came in to tan and got into a very loud argument, so loud that another client in the next room got out of her bed to bang on the wall! Miss cellphone no longer comes in because I told her to turn the darn thing off when she tanned. I never knew when I bought my salon that I would have to police cell phone usage

I, too, was in a class in Nashville where a woman got a call, walked further back in the same room and had a 5 minute conversation. Really...are we that important that we can't get away for a few minutes? Was she trying to impress us? At least go out in the hallway. I have a nail salon, too. It happens everyday..just as we are polishing her nails the stupid phone rings then she gets polish smeared and it throws us behind because we have to repair polish. puhleese!

This whole cell phone stuff is crazy!!! I tan because I love to and also its the only place I can go where noone can bother me for 12 minutes.12 min out of a day for myself,thats not asking to much.They need to leave the phones in the car!!!!A tanning salon is to come and relax not to chat on the phone while tanning.

I have a sign up behind my counter that states:

1. NO baby oil is allowed in this salon.
2. Eyewear MUST be worn.
3. We are NOT cell phone friendly...this means cut them off and please do not try to engage in a conversation while tanning. It is NOT safe to talk on the phone while tanning.

We are here to help you make time for yourself, therefore, the cell phones are to be used outside, and left off in consideration of others as well.

I can not stand for someone new to walk in with a cell phone on in the middle of a conversation. I will not attempt to wait on them until after they have finished their conversation, once they are off of the phone I very politely ask them to turn it off and ask them to read this sign that I have up at my counter that states:

If heard having a conversation on the phone, your bed will be cut off and no time will be credited. I know it sounds like I am running a prison or something, but I am not going to listen to anyone's coneversation, nor should other customers have to hear it either.

Now I don't have a cell phone problem like I did when we first opened up, and the cell phone customers are the ones that are the happiest about not having to answer the phone. They thouhgt that they would miss something at first, but now half of them have disconnected them since they started tanning with me. They didn't like the idea of having people be able to track them when they wanted to relax. REALLY STRANGE! but I'm not complaining.
