Any new ideas out there? My down season is really off right now. I don't know if it will get any better with all that has happened. Moved to Managing Salon for better response[ September 24, 2001: Message edited by: buntanner ]

Has anyone tried sending post cards to customers that haven't been in to tan in say 2-3 months ... just a note to say that I was thinking of you...If so, what results did you have, how many returned to tan?Melissa

I have done that before and it did okay. I had a lot smaller cust. base at the time. Now I have my girls call on the phone just to let them know we are running specials on occasion when they don't have much to do.

I only run specials on one year memberships which locks them in and lotions I am discontinuing. I have found that specials on any short term packages only cuts your net profit and only increases customer flow a little. It seems that people that don't tan in the fall, don't for other reasons than money. You can't overcome those reasons with 10 or 20% price cuts.Steve Miller
