FYI:I have written an article titled "Herpes & The Tanning Bed: Debunking the Myth" that is in the latest issue of Looking Fit magazine (that was mailed today).Hopefully, this article will help put to bed some of the nonsense posted here about catching a SEXUALLY transmitted disease (STD) from a tanning bed.Tanning beds are blamed for SOCIAL rather than SCIENTIFIC reasons! In addition, people like Chippp put forth this nonsense about catching STD's because they want to promote their home-made tanning booths.Read the article, Chippp, and then comment!Don

Sunprincess, I don't blame you if you don't go back to your salon. If you are seeing hair (all diff. types) on the beds, they are evidently not cleaning them properly. Find a salon that takes pride in the tanning biz and their shop. Or at least complain to the owner, manager. Maybe just an employee problem. Quote:Originally posted by Sunprincess:Ok Im so scared!! Ringworm, scabies? Yuck. Im not sure if Ill go back to my salon, I noticed that there is a lot of hair of different types all over the beds. Gosh I wonder if people ********** in there, Ive always wondered that, and then the next person goes and accidently wipes it on there leg or face. Do owners clean those pillows too?Oh well.I know there are sanitizers but what if they miss spots?
