Just the title of this subject cracks me up.Chipp if you are not asking as a joke, why did you title your subject in a joking way?Why not "Has anyone ever had there acylicbroke by larger size clients?"That would be taken a little more serious.

I make my big fat clients tan standing up (finally someone wants to stand tanning) because when they lay in a bed their Butt cheecks make all kinds of indentations and the things that have been lost in there make marks on the acrilic!! The problem is if they over heat in that booth and pass out and fall face 1st to the ground with quite a large BANG, and i don't know about you but the site of a 400+ lbs person fallen and can't get up, well It can make you want to lose my lunch.

I know you all think this is funny... a fat person tanning, but I used to be fat.I'm 5'4" and used to weigh 225 which is a lot of weight on a small frame. I started tanning at the same time I started losing 70 pounds and found that actually tanning made me feel better than I looked. That encouraged me to continue to lose and to tan until I actually started looking as good as I felt.I was actually worried about breaking the bed when I first started, only because I felt so self concious. I found out recently that tanning aids in lowering depression and can even help boost metabolism.Maybe it's all psychological... however, I tend to stay at my ideal weight or drop a few pounds when I am tanning. As a recovering fat person (you never totally overcome it) I am very sensitive to the plight of others in that condition.Laurie

Thanks Tan-U-Too, I'm still by no means (to quote Chippppparooni) "tape worm" thin... but I am a very healthy size 12. I have to work out and still watch what I eat but am pleased to say I've maintained the loss for over 4 years. If you're interested in what I look like you can see pictures of me at my website http://www.geocities.com/gbpackergirl714/page1.html Enjoy!Laurie
