Tanning Salon/Smoothie Shop for sale!

This shop is in historical down town Pittsboro, NC. It gets a lot of traffic and is perfect for someone who wants their own business, but isn't quite sure how to set it up. We have done all the hard work. My wife and I started this in hopes that she would run it. She took a job close by and really enjoys it and is ready to let the shop go now.

We spent over 30k getting this shop together. We've maid a lot of money back so we don't need to get everything we put into it.

Tanning
1. Sunvision low intensity bed
2. Sundash mid intensity bed with facials
3. Sundome stand up high intensity bed
4. Sundash mid intensity bed w/o facials
5. Mystic Tan Blue box spray booth.

Smoothies
1. Commercial grade smoothie maker
2. Commercial sink and hand washer sink
3. Ice machine
4. refrigerator

Any suggestions on better ways to sell my salon are welcome.

Craigslist...but don't expect to sell.. advertise beds on CL, you may be better off liquidating business, sell beds to hair salon or for home use (those beds are not considered commercial beds in todays competitive industry), no tanning salon would buy....

also, 115 tanners in 5 months is indicative of no business activity..nobody would buy with those #'s..

While I appreciate your advise, I would have to disagree with most of it. This salon is turning a profit in August when it only opened in April. That's an amazing feet! This isn't a "get rich quick" business. It's more for someone who wants entrepreneurship and can deal with only profiting 400-700 dollars per week until the season comes back around. Bottom line, it's the only salon in town and it has all the construction done for a salon/smoothie shop. The rent is only 900 per month. We average about 70 UV packages a month and 10 Spray packages a month. That's 3600-4200 per month. I'm not looking to liquidate because I'm not losing money. If someone wants to buy it, I'll sell it, but it's not critical.

P.S. I've had all sorts of different beds before. This is my second salon. These beds ended up being peoples favorites in the area because they are big and durable and don't make noises while in session. They don't make sturdy beds like these anymore. Yes, the intensities are much stronger now a days, but that's just burn gimmick and we all know it. These beds provide quick natural looking tans at great prices.

Anyways, I am looking for advise on selling a salon not the items in it. It's just way too cool of a place to close.
