We are intending to move south this fall, so our salon is going up for sale. My husband needs the warm weather for his lungs, has a rough time in Michigan winters. Not piecing this out, selling it as a running business. I have been in business 10 years. At my current location for 4+ years. We are in a strip mall in a busy intersection. I am located on the side of the building. There would not have been enough parking spots for us in the front. My floors are acid stained cement, black/brown colored. The wall are 10 feet high in the rooms, with a ceiling that is approximately 16 feet. It has the open ceiling with the pipes and such. It has 1640 sq. feet, there isn't any more space to add additional beds. The rooms all have a speaker at the head of the bed, not individual stereos.We have 11 rooms and 1 booth in the lobby. Laundry room in the back. The beds/booths are:

1-1998 Sunstar ZX 32 3f
2-1998 Sunstar ZX 32T
1-1998 Sunquest V6000 hex/booth 2200 hours
4-2004 Dr Kern 32/3 stretch 4500-5500 hrs on each
1-2004 Dr Kern 32/0
2-2004 Dr Keern 42/4 1500 hours each
1-2004 Sun Capsule VHR booth 950 hours

The first 4 beds are from ETS and the others I bought from Exotic Tan in Muskegon MI. All the beds I had paid cash for, so there is no loans or leins on anything.
I use TanTrack for my computer program.

We would like to move wherever it does not snow. But Florida or South Carolina are on a hopeful lists right now. My hubby is a truck driver so we can virtually move anywhere. We always wanted to move to Miami after our youngest graduated, he is now 25 and we now how our ducks in a row, so maybe we can gooo. I do not want to run the business from another state. My hubby wants to keep it. But I do the bulb , acrylic changes, and all other minor repairs. Kind of hard to fly up and fix the the timer on a spur of the moment. We would like to get a year of sales for the selling price. Maybe wishful thinking.

Just an FYI, it snows in SC and every so often, in FL too :) Look toward So. CA, AZ, NM, etc if you're looking for no snow.

I actually sold my salon. Closed on it April 1. I am now currently unemployed. Yippee. Took my first vacation in 7 years. Did not get what I originally hoped for, but anything is good in this economy. we had a good client base and 10 years in the business. I will miss the customers but not any of the complaints. Had a horrible time with facials in the Dr Kerns, the customers thought their life was over if a facial burned out. Overall great people to have worked with. Going to take the summer off and decide to on our move.
