Boy I must have hit a nerve with this guy. He sent me a message in a very upset tone saying I am narrow minded. Oh well, once you been burn from places like this you get that way.

GJMorrow 10-31-2001 12:29 AM

You must have been burned many times that you now expect it.

It is interesting that you did not disagree with what I said.

Unfortunately, I did not use the word narrow minded . . so it sounds like you connected with that word yourself.

BooBop 10-31-2001 12:48 AM

Oops, I made a mistake in quoting you. Following is the pm you sent me and to me "not being open minded" is the same as being narrow minded.
As I stated before, I was promised the very same thing you are promising. NO COST TO THE MERCHANT. Well I found out the hard way that was BS from the people I dealt with.
You say I am being negative to you. Well I am just informing people in this community of the dealings I had with a "Free" Check Recovery company.

unforunately you may think you are familiar with this product, but it appears you are not.

in case you are wondering, there no costs to the merchant, at all, none, zero.

and from your negative slant in your response, you must not have an open mind to ideas to make you more profitable.

well, thanks for the response, anyway

Dear Mr. NF Recovery,
As business owners, we deal with companies trying to sell their wares to us each day, every day. I personally spend 20% of my time listening to their spiel and trying to politely say no, sometimes for the umpteenth time in one week to the same company. I do not visit the message boards to have to deal with more of it.

We have earned the right to be leary of someone telling us we are not open minded about being profitable. Puh-leeze...your tone hinted of condescension. I am grateful for other salon owner's input on how to deal with these companies. If you don't fit the mold then perhaps you should post a little more information about how your system works (so we can print it out for future reference). Then someone here might try you out and let us know how ethical or unethical you really are.

The fact that you posted here at all tells me you are not familiar with the dynamics of our industry. Our clients prepay for services. After they give us a check, chances are we will be seeing them on a daily basis. If the check go bouncy-bouncy, they have to deal with us face to face. I don't think bad checks are as prevalent here as they are in other retail establishments, so there is little need for services like yours.

Good luck
