There is a 3 year old salon selling out in my town and they are asking $14,000. It has 3 beds, 1 stand up, 4 fans, 4 radios, a complete business. It will have to be moved to a new location. She says she has a customer base of 300 clients and is doing $30,000 a year in gross sales.

Does the gross sales and the purchase price seam low, high or abour right?????

hi well at $30,000.00 thats only $577.00 a week . not good your paying $14,000.00 for 3 beds and 1 stand up thats not a good deal the beds are old. if they only did $30,000.00 a year how did they last 3 years ? walk away .

Videotanner, you said that everything would have to be moved. Does this mean that you would have to do a buildout somewhere else? If so, you might want to consider that a buildout is going to cost you more than the business itself. Also, if you do have to move, you may lose some of those customers in the process.

Thanks for the info, If she was telling me the truth, 300 customer client base and doing $30,000 a year and you say that is pretty poor. Help me with a ballpark idea of what a 4 bed salon should gross in a year. If $30,000 if Low what is about normal, $60,000 or $90,000 or more ?????

Then how much are 3 beds a 1 HEX stand up all 3 years old worth, ballpark?

What kind of beds, how many hours, how old?
How big is the community it is on?
300 people over 3 years is, well....kind of not-so-good.
And yes, the buildout will cost you as much as the biz if not more.
