I was told women on birth the control pillshould not tan. or they could get dark spots on their face.

I am on the pill and I tan my face for 10 minutes out of the 25 minute bed. I have never gotten dark spots on my face. I have heard that women who take the pill may have a harder time getting a tan. But, I haven't had that problem either.

Women who are on the pill or any other medication which can cause light sensitivity (yes i am smart tan certified) should only tan in booths because every knows if you do it standing up nothing bad can happen.

Lots of things can cause a photosensitive reaction. You can't narrow it down to just birth control. You could have 100 women on the pill that have no adverse reaction to UV and one that does. It is not set in stone.

My dermatologist actually advised me to tan to help my acne and prescribed me with a low dose of tetracycline. I've had no adverse reactions thus far.Laurie(standing up... giggle.... good one!)

I was at a club and a girl told me that if your on birth control pills you cant't get AIDS!Sounds like a good idea. NOT !!!!!!!!
